Ashley Marston started playing cornet at the age of 8 under the tuition of David Maplestone. Ashley is from Telford and started his soprano cornet career in the Abraham Darby Brass Band.
Ashley has held the soprano cornet seat in Pemberton Old Wigan DW Band, EverReady Band(Reg Vardy) and NASUWT Riverside Band. He is also the soprano cornet player for British Army Band Catterick.
Ashley is also a keen composer. He holds the resident composer and arranger position at British Army Band Catterick.
During his playing career Ashley has been fortunate enough to have played at many prestigious venues and occasions including Carnegie Hall, New York for the World Music Contest Gala Concert; The funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II; The Coronation of HM King Charles III and the 80th Anniversary of D Day in Normandy.
